DATA MANAGEMENT CENTER

The Data Management Center (DMC) is charged with handling all data activities in clinical trials, cohort development and other HIV research related activities in Makerere University Walter Reed Project. The center has participated in three clinical trials and two cohort studies. It has a team that comprises of; The Data Management Supervisor, Data Management Officer, Quality Controller, Senior Data entry specialist and junior Data Entry Specialists. 

In addition to specialized training in data management and analysis, all data management personnel have been trained in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) as well as Human Research Participants protection.  At MUWRP DMC, the systems used for capture of data are ClinwoX and AdvantageEDCTM.
