STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

• To monitor trends in the HIV epidemic in Uganda
• To carry out HIV diagnostics, HIV isolation and qualification
• To conduct HIV vaccine trials
• Conduct surveillance for influenza and influenza like illnesses in humans, animals and migratory birds.
